Father of eight children.
Born and raised in Milwaukee

My mother received Christ when I was two years old. Growing up in a single family home, I helped care for my younger brother and sister. About the age of ten or eleven is when I remember taking what Christ did for me seriously and accepting Him into my life. At this time my mom was teaching Bible class every weekend and we were always around Godly people. My mom would have devotions with us everyday and have us memorize scriptures, which I really think had a great influence on me. Even though we didn’t have a lot—-God always provided! I still wasn’t bold for Christ until I was about 15 years old, when I saw a young man my age being bold for Christ. This blew me away. I had never seen anyone my age on fire for Christ. Soon after I ventured out into the world but realized very quickly that it wasn’t for me. No matter how hard I tried to fit in I couldn’t. The Holy Spirit wouldn’t let me. He was tugging me to come back home, and I knew when I came home I wouldn’t be a bench warmer. God used my troubles in my marriage to bring me back to Him and since then I haven’t turned back nor do I ever have a desire to. My heart since then has been fixed on working for God–however He calls me.
First He called me to write poems, which developed into writing plays and finally writing rap songs, as God saw fit. I later began to record and produce music and mix the sound for performances…things I never dreamt of doing. I can honestly say that God was my teacher. He used people to show me things and the rest was me and Him, as it should be. God then called me to preach which I had been doing as a rapper but didn’t quite see that way.
Now, just like my mom used to do, I teach others. I am excited about what the Lord is doing. From the very beginning we saw God move in inconceivable ways. Where most would question what God may have been saying, Richard and I were just stupid enough to believe if God said so, He would provide all our needs. This last year has been incredible! We did things in places where we never dreamt of. We shared the Gospel boldly and challenged believers to do the same.
You never really know how people will respond to how you present the gospel, but communities did respond, they listened and were encouraged which gave us confidence and confirmation. It is very exciting trying to spark a movement of revival, being on the front line has its highlights but it also has its tests and trials.
Please continue to pray for us and our families because I truly believe God has a full year planned for 2010. As a side note–I love rapping, preaching, making music etc., but if you ever meet me don’t be surprised if I’m not as animated. God bless you all. Thank you for your prayers and support
